43-101 Report

August 9, 2010 Nubian announces it has signed a lease agreement with Timber Wolf Minerals Ltd to acquire the lease rights over 100% of the Excelsior Springs Gold property in Esmeralda County, Nevada.

October 5, 2010 Nubian announces a NI 43-101 Technical Report has been prepared on the property by Ken Brook, B.Sc, M.Sc, RPG., a qualified person (QP) as defined by National Instrument 43-101. The report is available on Sedar and on this web page. The report concludes that based on the results of previous drilling programs, the Excelsior Springs property should be considered an advanced-stage exploration project with potential to host one or more open-pittable gold deposits.

Geological overview

At Excelsior Springs, a structurally uplifted window of Pre-Cambrian to Lower Cambrian metasediments is exposed through over-thrust Ordovician Palmetto limestone. The uplift exposed the major E-W Excelsior Springs structural zone locally containing highly anomalous (2-20 g/t) gold mineralization.

Previous Reverse Circulation drilling in the 1980's suggested a shallow area of mineralization centrally located on the two patented claims. Down-dip and E-W extensions were, poorly tested due to a lack of geologic input into the drilling programs. The zone of mineralization appears to extend eastward beneath a shallow thrust sheet of Harkless shale that exhibits intense alteration and moderate to strong quartz breccia development, associated base metal mineralization and limited weak gold geochemistry. West of the area of historic drilling, a second untested zone of quartz-gold-base metal mineralization, with 5-15 g/t Au found in rock chip samples, has been identified.

March 28, 2011 Nubian signs a definitive agreement with Paradigm Minerals (USA) Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary company of Global Geoscience Ltd, a public company listed on the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX:GSC), for the option to earn a 70% interest in the Excelsior Springs Gold property, once 3M has been expended in exploration costs. Nubian presently has a 100% lease on the property.

April 18, 2011 Paradigm work underway.

  • Soil geochem survey completed on a 200 x 25m grid.
  • Stream sediment survey completed.  83 samples over a 40 sq km area.  Two gold anomalies identified outside the area of known workings and outside the original 42 claims.
  • Additional staking completed.  100 new claims staked.  Total claims now 142.
  • Geological mapping in progress - detailed mapping around the historic Buster mine.
  • Relogging of drill chips, with selected samples sent for petrology.
  • Pulps for the last eight holes being analyzed for a suite of additional elements including silver and copper.

May 16, 2011 Global Geoscience Ltd announces it has commenced Induced Polarisation (IP) geophysical survey at Excelsior Springs. The IP survey will cover 3 km of the main mineralized structure and it is expected to be completed within about 3 weeks. The IP survey will assist in interpretation of geological and structural controls on gold mineralization, leading to a refinement of targets for drill testing.

September 30, 2011 Nubian reports that Global Geoscience has intersected multiple zones of shallow, oxidized gold mineralization over a minimum strike length of 2.2 km at Excelsior Springs from 3,657m of wide-spaced Reverse Circulation drilling. Significant down-hole intercepts are:

GE08: 7.6m at 5.1g/t Au from 93.0m
GE14: 7.6m at 2.9g/t Au from 19.8m
GE02: 3.0m at 4.7g/t Au from 0m
GE19: 6.1m at 1.9g/t Au from 117.3m
GE15: 13.7m at 0.8g/t Au from 61.0m

True widths of the intercepts are not known at this stage

Geochemical/geological data indicate the mineralization is part of a >9km long zone with no known drilling outside the area drilled by Global Geoscience.  Follow-up infill drilling is planned in 2012 around the newly discovered zones and other targets along strike.

September 2012 True widths of the intercepts will be established in Phase 2 drilling program. Geological and geophysical data indicate that the mineralized zone extends for approximately 9 km.  Paradigm announced start of the Phase 2 drill program on Excelsior. Results are expected at the end of November 2012.
